Hot Since 82

Daley Padley grew up in Barnsley and was in its clubs by fourteen. As Hot Since 82 he became one of the defining names in deep and tech house, released his debut album Little Black Book in 2013, and founded Knee Deep In Sound in 2014 to champion new producers with an underground, vinyl spirit.

His breakthrough came through remixes. His 2013 rework of Green Velvet’s “Bigger Than Prince” went to number one on Beatport and appeared on Little Black Book, his debut album on Moda Black, which mixed his own tracks with the remixes that had made his name.

Knee Deep In Sound has grown from a label into a party brand, and he has appeared on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix and played many of the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. He played Social in 2022.
