Mau P

Amsterdam’s Maurits Westveen spent years on big festival stages as Maurice West before following his heart underground as Mau P. His first single under the new name, “Drugs From Amsterdam”, went to number one on Beatport in 2022, and tracks like “Gimme That Bounce” and “Metro” have made him one of tech house’s fastest-rising names.

Born in 1996, Westveen was producing at fourteen and spent around eight years in big-room house before deciding it no longer felt like him. Mau P was his reset: stripped-back, bass-heavy tech house built for the club rather than the main stage.

“Drugs From Amsterdam”, released on Repopulate Mars, became one of 2022’s biggest club records. Since then he has remixed Swedish House Mafia and Armand van Helden and entered DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs. He played Social in 2023 and again in 2024.
